Slammin September

Tinkerbell

This Kake is a double-layered vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. The wings and hair are cut out while the bottom maintains a square form. I iced the entire cake with Vanilla frosting and then went over it with the decorative icing.
As all my kakes, the design was done free-hand while looking at a picture for reference; this may be why Tinkerbell looks a little chubby. ;-)
Muscle Man

My father spent 3 months doing the P90X workout routine and nutrition plan. At the end of it he requested I make him a yellow kake with chocolate frosting. I did my best to make it look like a torso and upperbody (including ab muscles), however I feel that what are suppose to look like buff shoulders- look more like female breasts. *shrugs* ....Trial & Error
Don't Worry, Be Happy.

Well, there's not much to explain here. I was asked to make a birthday kake for a friend of a friend who has a "hobby". It's made of a single layer yellow kake with cream cheese frosting and it's shape was carved free-hand.

ROLL TIDE!

I must say, I rather impressed myself with this one. Going into this project I had no idea what I wanted to do or how I was going to do it! The customer had sent me some images to inspire me, so I took a lil' bit from a few of them and this is what I came up with!
This is a single-layer red velvet kake with cream cheese frosting which I dyed burgundy and grey. The Elephant took quite a bit of time, as I was copying it from and image that I had printed out and was unsure exactly how it would translate onto the kake.
I was quite pleased with the outcome and have already received numerous requests for duplicate kakes from Alabama fans!

AKA...again.

This kake was made for a meeting for my director at my internship.
It is the AKA Ivy leaf bordered with 20 pearls. The design came from an image that she supplied me.
The kake is a single-layer pink strawberry kake with dyed cream cheese frosting. The pearls were made with white icing and then filled with pearlized sprinkles which I found at a craft store.
