Peace, Love & Happiness

Ever Seen Tye-Dye Frosting? Yeah, Me Neither...

This Kake was a two-layered, yellow kake with cream cheese frosting. It was made for one of my co-workers, and when she asked if I could do tye-dye frosting I was hesitant but told her I would attempt it the best that I could.
In order to create the tye-dyed effect, I portioned off the frosting in several seperate bowls and dyed each one with a different color. I then placed the frosting on the cake in a swirl design and ran toothpicks through it in order to blend the colors into eachother.
I'm not claiming it's perfect, but hey, it's pretty decent for a first attempt. I also Cut out the Peace Sign Shape in the top layer to give it a 3-D effect.

For the sides of the Kake, I simply layered three colors and blended them with a spatula. I adorned the sides with black peace signs all around it to give it a little *pop*!
