Burberry

Staff Appreciation
June 2010

This was a 2-layer yellow sheet cake for an appreciation luncheon. It caved in a little at the bottom, but the customer still loved it and didn't mind at all. (I had offered to make new cake or give it to her for a discounted price, however she liked it just the way it was.)
Burberry
June 2010

This was a 4-layer yellow cake with white icing which was dyed tan.

The customer's design was not specific; all that was requested is that the cake have a Burberry theme. I decided to make it look like a gift wrapped in Burberry wrapping paper.

The heighth and frosting made this cake quite heavy.

For all those lines to be drawn free-hand, I think I did a pretty good job considering my hand was cramping 1/4 of the way in.

Sushi

Sushi Roll
May 2010

This was a tw0-layer (8" round pans) strawberry cake wrapped in fruit leater to represent the nore and rice krispy treats to represent the rice. The mini rolls around the cake were made out of fruit snacks, candies and marshmallows. Everything was edible except for the chopsticks.

An assortment of "sushi rolls" surrounded the cake.

Had to trim the excess rice krispy treat which bordered the cake.

Sprinkled cookies n' cream sprinkles over the rice krispy treat to look like actual sushi rice.
